Why derby? What drew you to this sport?
I saw the Strong Island Derby Revolution team as a teen and was starstruck. Everyone was so badass, strong, and confident- it was everything I wanted to be!
I didn’t get the chance to start playing until I moved to Savannah and met the Derby Devils!

What’s one random fact about you?
My derby name is inspired by the Star Trek Voyager character, Seven of Nine. Her journey of feeling like an outsider, joining the VOY crew and finding her own family, and becoming one of Starfleet’s finest Captains- really resonates and inspires me. It’s the hope and belief we can create a better future- and it begins within ourselves.
